Can we switch the I35 instrument panel for our Max's?

Just wondering if this would be possible. If so has anyone done it and how much would it cost?

Haven't seen one, what's so special about it that you'd want to?

I think the cluster itself is EL. There are some lights though, for sure, but I believe the gauges are EL.

In any case, I kinda have a half chopped off pic of my gauges from when I took a shot of my interior. It might give an idea:

Thanks John, that's exactly what I'm talking about. So is it possible to put that into the Maxima.

Yeah it is...why does everyone ask that? I've always assumed it was the same as the Maxima's?

I dunno...I like my 2K2 SE cluster better.
What I would like to see done, is to convert the backend of the 5th gen into the backend of the I35! I think that would look nice.

I think it'd be easier to convert the front clip. But then, again, it wouldn't matter if you only wanted the back end LOL

I figured the 2k2 **** was the same as mine. What's different?

Patel,

Dont think this is going to be possible without some minor/major modifications to your current cluster to integrate these into them.

I dont believe the plugs on the back of the cluster are anywhere near the same as the maxima, so that is your main hurdle right there.

That's funny because I think in Australia the Max is the I35 with Max badging. There was a post a couple weeks ago, and the guy had a Max, but the back looked like an I35, but it said Maxima on it.

Yeah, the Australian Maxima from their web site does look a lot like an I35. See http://www.nissan.com.au/maxima/exterior.htm. It's interesting, that the reverse/backup lights are reversed in position between the I35 and the Australia Maxima. The I35, and the Australian Maxima, and the Cefiro (on which the Maxima is based on) all look very similar.
