WHICH PIPE IS BETTER

It's a wash from a performance standpoint . . .
But the Cattman is a superior product from a manufacturing standpoint. Plus, Cattman supports our forum and gives us some really good deals from time to time. Stillen doesn't do **** for us (although some of Stillen's distributors do). If I were in the market for a Y-pipe, I'd buy the Cattman without reservation.
Well, I'd have to argue in favor of the Cattman Performance piece. But I'd base that argument on the superior materials (stainless steel mandrel-bent tubing and massive 3/8 to 1/2" CNC-cut flanges) and production methods (the strength of TIG-welding is inherently far superior to the MIG welding used on Stillen's mild steel pipe).
And, so there is absolutely no confusion, Stillen's Maxima Y-pipe is made of chrome-plated mild steel, not stainless. My experience has shown that there is no comparability in terms of resistance to metal fatigue and, of course, corrosion resistance.
Thanks for your interest.

Jeez, Brian . . .
Whassup with you being called a newbie? Maybe you don't post a lot, but there ain't no way you'll ever be a newbie in my book. We ought to make a new category for people like you, Phuong and Don in Texas and call you "Sponsors" or something like that.
