when i hit the button on the door to open the gas door it clicks.....but no open....i have to use a key or credit card to get it to pop open....very frustrating when running late....

any suggestions??

considering all the issues with dirt, etc. getting in that area, check the hinges and spring that causes it to pop out...I assume it unlocked on, just didn't 'pop' out of the hole, right?

right, meaning it unlocks but doesn't pop?

if so, try some lubricant, WD40, etc. on the above mentioned areas...move the door back and forth to work it in, and see if that helps.

 

I read somewhere else that if you clean he area real well and lube w/ wd40 all over the mechanism and latches it might clear up. Check to see if the plate on the door where it meets the latch is not bent.
