Broken Sunglasses Housing

I'm in need of a new sunglasses housing for my 2000 Maxima. Unfortuantely, the high quality latch broke. Go figure. Can someone recommend an online parts supplier for this? Also, if anyone has replaced the housing with something else- namely a flip down video screen- I am curious about cost, installation, and opinions. Much obliged...

Contact DaveB....great guy...1-800-251-7278...

also, since you have to replace it anyway, ask about a compatible 2002+ sunglass holder (they are more spring dampened and don't just 'flop' down)...

I will let others answer about the video screens, etc....

Just in case this ever turns up in someone's forum search regarding a broken sunglasses housing... The 2002+ replacement part is about $10.00 (~$15.00 delivered). Oddly, the 2000 replacement part is around $35.00. Oh yea... Floormats (set of 4) are $65.00, from the same source.

Thanks for the plug, Tim- When I started selling to .org members back in 2000, the idea was to offer everyone exemplary service with a consistant, up-front discount. It is no suprise that other dealers have caught on! I never begrudge my competitors, I have had several customers call me with quotes from JR Nissan, I have been able to meet or beat them. With the number of dealers that are courting the .org, it seems that members have lots of choices! I am just one of them, trying to offer great service & prices from one Maxima owner to another.
Regards,
David Burnette

No offense taken, Tim, those were just some thoughts I had in the back of my mind for some time Now, if I don't go to bed soon, there will be a sister to "PWI"- "PWRT"- "Posting While Really Tired"

well so far the posts on JRNissanParts service have been good...now i've ordered from daveb before & recommend him before JRNissanParts b/c I've had 1st hand experience & his service is by far the BEST of THE BEST...I mean I remember him checking to make sure the part I wanted will fit before he sold it to me so i didnt waste my money on a part that didnt fit....
