Usually I get rthe company line from them that they will not install anything unless its Nissan parts. Well rotors and pads would be Nissan parts at a hell of a lot less then what they want to charge me...

Anyone do this with their dealer?

something to try

You might want to act like you bought them from your dealer's parts department. Tell them you were going to install them yourself but didn't have the time.

Personally I find it easy to install rotors and pads (albeit a bit messy).

pads and rotors are easy BUT what you local dealer will do it jack up the install costs cus you brought your own parts and you'll end up paying just about the same as if you bought them from them and had them install it.

example. 50 bucks for pads/rotors from courtesy, 75 to install them
75 bucks for pads/rotors from dealer, 50 to install them.

they get you no matter what. so unless the price difference is WAY WAY WAY different or you want to intall them yourself get the parts at the place your having them installed. i know the shop in town here charges 50 bucks more to bring your own clutch, cus he would have made 50 bucks on the clutch package too, plus labor.
