Does anybody know of a what to have the Auto dimming rear view mirror start up in the OFF position? I have the back window tinted and don't really need the Auto dimming feature. I'm looking for a simple solution....not having to re-wire anything to get it to work.

 

i asked the same question months and months ago. the suggestion i got was to cover up the little senser with tape or finger nail polish or to actually disconnect the mirror. i just reach up and turn it off everytime i get inthe car at night.

Instead of having it start in the OFF position, is there any way to adjust the sensitivity of the sensor? I have really dark tint on the rear windshield, so it seems my mirror never dims unless someone tailgates me their brights on. I have an autodim mirror on my 2K2 Chevy Trailblazer, and it comes with smoked glass in the back standard, and it's mirror seems to work like my Maxima's mirror did before the tint job. Any suggestions?
