well, this was my 4th trip to the track. on my previous 3 trips i couldnt break 14.8 for the life of me. so i decided to go one last time before the season ended...

-i have no engine mods so this is a stock run
-no spare in trunk
-1/4 tank of gas
-front tires at 21 psi
-rear tires at 42 psi
-temperature was about 50-55 degrees

on my 2nd run of the night:
R/T ... .822
60' ... 2.290
330 ... 6.216
1\8 ... 9.433 @ 76.66 mph
1000 ... 12.214
1/4 ... 14.570 @ 95 mph

2.290 is pretty good but think about if i got a 2.210 or something. i might have run like a 14.3

i ran another 14.5 with a 2.332 60' (third run) and a 14.8 again with a 2.405 60'(first run)

on my first run (the 14.8)i decided to take my filter OUT just to see what happened because i gained 10 hp on the dyno when i did that. i will never do that again. i am not sure what happened but after i crossed the finish line my car SHUT OFF. it stalled while i was going 95+ mph, i turned the ignition while i was rolling and it started right up. it scared me so i put the filter back in.

and the coolest part of the whole night: on the way home an empalla flys by us on the right at like 80 in a 50. then a cop flys by right behind that car. the empalla moves over in front of me and gets behind another car that had just flown by me and the cop car stays in the right lane and drops back. (i thought the empalla was an unmarked cop who was about to pull this dude over). after a few seconds the empalla moves over to the far left lane and the cop still stays back in the right lane. then all of a sudden the cop crosses 3 lanes of traffic and gets behind the empalla and turns his lights on....THE EMPALLA DIPS! A POLICE CHASE LIKE I ALWAYS SEE ON TV! i wanted to see what happened but they were going too fast and that empalla wasnt stopping. they were a mile or so ahead of us then they disappeared. coolest thing ever.

 

Not bad.. With a low 2.2 60' you would have a high 14.4 though

 

i improved my 60' by .115 from my 14.878 to my 14.570 (gained .3 seconds) so i figured if i improved my 60' by .08 to a 2.210 that might be good for another .2

it was just wishful "what if..." thinking though

 

Ya.. The cold weather is probably what really helped you. I droped my 60' by 1 tenth last time out and I shaved off over .4 seconds off my ET Conditions really make a big impact on your time.
