Coolant hose... something isnt right
I was inspecting the coolant area, and noticed that I have a tear in the hose coming out of the coolant container. I'm going to get this fixed, needless to say. But does anyone know how bad this is for my engine? Is it not getting any coolant because of this?
Pic of engine with the hose highlighted for better perspective

Also, the fluid level is below Min. How should I go about this? Will adding fluid be pointless because of the tear? Should I top it off anyway? Or just drain/flush/refill normally.

That's the overflow hose. It can be easily replaced by first removing the overflow container from the body, holding it higher then the radiator, then changing the hose. You can swap out the hose as is but risk getting fluid water all over the place. It's a simple procedure if you want to do it yourself (I swapped mine when I installed my Hose Techniques hose).
After fixing the hose, you should be able to add a little water and be fine. If you had cooling problems you'd probably know by now. If the temp gauge stays in the middle under normal operating conditions then you are ok.
