Hi all...first post look forward to learning a lot at this site. I just recently took ownership of a 2000 Maxima GLE. The suspension is just a little too "floaty" for me. Was thinking about upgrading the suspension. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I've priced some Tokico shocks with Eibach Pro Kit springs. I'm just wanting more of a sport ride with about a 1 inch drop. Also, I live in Birmingham, Alabama and was wondering if there were any highl,y recommended shops around here to install whichever suspension I purchase. Thanks in advance!

Welcome!

First suggestion to make your life more pleasant around here is to utilize the search function (found to the upper right of this window).

VAST amounts of info can be found there.

Welcome and I hope you put to good use the abundance amount of Knowledge you can get from this site. You must be careful of the Internet arguments (flame wars)that people tend to get into around here. There is nothing you cannot learn from these guys and girls. Sometimes it is just better to say nothing and soak up as much as possible.

Welcome, About the springs you can go with Max Speed, a lot of good comments about them and they are pretty inexpensive, I think like 95$. There is a lot of usefull info here just search and you will probably find answers for any questions you got.

Sweet I also Live in Birmingham Alabama and Drive a 2000 Maxima GLE! The "good" shops are Speed South(a little expensive though), Next Level (2nd Ave. Kinda in the Ghetto), Radio Active(Pelham), Auto Labz and California Styles.(Both of moderate quality)
Sweet man, hey don't forget to check out the SouthEast maxima Forum sometime and check us out. There's suppost to be a meet comming up soon but I don't have any details as of yet.

thanks for the input everyone...I look forward to visiting this site quite frequently...actually just put new tires on the car last night, went with Potenza RE950's. Unfortunately, that's probably just the beginning.

Welcome to the org!!

I've got the Maxspeed with stock set-up. I will defineatly recommend the Maxspeed, but you may want to go with an aftermarket shock if you want a more aggressive ride.
