First mods with first G

I'm sure this question has been asked many times. But as I've looked through many sites, I've seen many different combos of mods. I'm looking for the mods which will give me the most horsepower using about $1000. From intake, to exhaust, to whatever else will give me the needed torque/hp gains.

I apologize if this subject has been discussed before, and would then appreciate a link to the appropriate thread.

Thanks

Scorpio..ur question is gonna be

impossibly hard to answer give that what (I think) you're asking is what the best possible COMBINATION of mods to get most HP for $1k and quite frankly, that means doing a bunch of corrected dyno runs with various combos such as Injen CAI with the various available y-pipes, then doing the same thing with a Berk intake, then doing it all over again with various combinations of cats and B pipes and rear sections...fuggeddabouit

Generally, for $1k one can do Y-pipe, intake, UDP, a good B-pipe replacement and a timing advance, good for maybe 25-30 horses all told. Dont do the rear section...none of the aftermarket rear sections (HKS, Greddy, etc) do much for HP and you will lose torque with most of them

Re: Re: First mods with first G

Did you try searching the forums / even reading through them?

Here's what you can do for $1500 :

a.) send me the money and I'll buy you the parts

or

b.)search the forums on what items cost $100 and what items cost $4000. Figure out what you can afford from there.

Common searches :

first mod
exhaust
CAI
air intake
springs
shocks
struts

Try the FAQ (FAQ-U), and more importantly what do you want to spend this $1500 on? I can hook you up with nice lighting effects on your roof. How do stadium lights on your rooftop sound? Or do you want to help shovel snow in the winter by cutting your springs to give your bottom end 3mm of ground clearance?

Sorry for being an a$$ but there's a search function here, and you should read up before asking certain questions. Also, I willingly admit that someone peed in my cornflakes this morning which helped too

Have a nice day and welcome aboard.

You're right. I'm not too preocupied with brand names (for now), but want to know what parts to spend the money on.
Thanks for the input.

Is it safe to say that Jer stands for JERK??
I haven't been using the forums long. And I've found that most people in here have been quite helpful, regardless of how stupid the question is. Expecting that, I apologized in advance. We all start somewhere. A simple note on using the search function would suffice... Jer* OFF!

Also depends on how far you want to go with mod's. Simple bolt ons or more involved installations (specifically nitrous)?

I'm looking for whatever is best. As long as it falls between the 1000 to 1500 range.

Most definately! But that doesn't change the fact you and many others fail to use that magical "search" link. You're welcome
