Sunglasses holder custom gauge pod??
I have been analyzing my sunglass holder for the past few days and I am considering shelling out a few bucks for this idea.
I want to have a custom fabricated flip down housing that holds 2 2 1/16" gauges. Here is my idea. I would use the existing sunglass holder, but I would have the gauge housing molded. The housing would only need to flip down halfway to reveal the gauges but not block the rear view mirror. Wiring would be a cinch because there is definitely 3" in depth there. The existing clip would also be used. When not in use, the gauges would just snap up again.
How hard would this be? I know some guys have done some custom interior work.

One of the biggest problem with this idea is that when you flip the sunglasses holder down it blocks the view of the rearview mirror. The only way to truly do this is to get rid of the holder and custom fabricate a mold out of fiberglass and bondo. It is not hard, just time consuming to do so.

BigDog- I did some measuring and if I could get mold I make to somehow only open up the sunglasses holder halfway, then it would look awesome and not block the rear view mirror in the slightest.
I'm gonna go to Soundwerks on Monday and see what they say.
