ABS question for a 2K

Greets,

My 2K did something I never noticed before. I was cut-off and had to brake really had from about 60mph. The ABS kicked in but made an abnormally loud clattering noise and the pedal felt like it got light for a sec.

My question is this? Is this considered the same as the brake judder problem? Or is something else wrong with my ABS.

thanks
woosh

Brake Judder...What I noticed...

When I had brake judder, panic braking at high speeds caused the steering wheel to vibrate. With ABS, the brake pedel vibrates but not the steering wheel.

What you felt was the ABS system in action. Try it again some day in a parking lot when it's raining outside.

The ABS system rapidly pulsates the hydraulic system. It also pushes the brake pedal upwards and gives a weird feeling. The Maxima ABS is pretty quiet compaired to some cars. Eariler GM's for instance are noisy as all he11. They made a loud crunching, grinding noise.
