New member and a quick question

Hi,
I've been looking to get out of my mustang and its high insurance for a while. got a couple questions

1. what do you younger guys pay for insurance, with 2 speeding tickets.

2. what would it take to get an 00-01 max to the hp that the new 02-03 have.

3. how much better is the 6-speed.

Thanks in advance.

Ahem...Use the search function. You will find TONS of info on this. God knows we don't need another insurance thread.

25 here, paying 513/6month

manual vs manual? 2k2 manual dynoed at 220hp and it's really hard to get a 180hp early manual 2k to hit 220 with all the bolt-ons.

that I dunno....but I hear no complaints about 6spd.

Hey that sounds like me in early summer!

I went from a 98 Cobra to the 2k Max and rarely regret it (sometimes that dual exhaust V8 in the morning sound I miss though!). I would get whatever you can afford, the Maxs seem to get better every single year. Be aware that the most mods exist for the 97-99 models, followed by the 2k-2k1s then the 2k2+.

BTW around 550 per 6 months on the Max - and I can't really remember what I was paying on the Cobra ( think I blocked it out of my mind)

good luck and welcome!
