I know SR20DEN did a 150 shot on his 3.5L, but what it the biggest shot that has been given to a 3.0L? I don't get into the 4th gen forum ever, so I have no clue what those guys have done.

Also, with an upgraded fuel pump, what is the biggest shot you think my engine could handle with no further upgrades? 125-150??

I hope you were not serious when you asked this question. I would not trust anyone without doing research myself. Your engine might be able to handle it, but can you say the same for the fuel injectors?

You really should start low (50 shot) and work your way up. Just my suggestion, but do whatever you wish.

SR has a bit more than a 150 shot . I wouldn't go over a 70 shot without upgraded fuel pump and proper guages.

I am researching, but part of researching involves asking questions. I figured the best place to ask is here, where people have the same engines as I do. FYI- I am starting with the 75 shot tommorrow.

So does anyone know what the biggest shot has been for the 3.0?

Andy, Andy, Andy....

I hope you know by now that you can't just follow someone elses setup/advice. ESPECIALLY, with the dry NOS kit. You must tune(change fuel/N20) the jets either:

A)While on a dyno with A/F monitor(wideband O2).
or
B)Moving up SLOWLY while monitoring EGT and fuel pressure.

If your asking how much hp/tq can the VQ30DE handle before KABOOOOM, then I'd GUESStimate over 350hp/350tq to the WHEELS. At least for awhile.

Search with "nitrous" as your key word. You'll find lots of 4th gen info (which can be related to 5th gens). Note down who the big players are (100 shot and higher) and search their old posts. Find out what they did, what problems they had, how did they solve the problems, etc.

Alright, alright.

I'm just gonna stick with the 75 shot for now. Some stuff has come up financially anyhow and I'm not in any position to be buying a new fuel pump and other crap.

That $200 fuel pressure gauge killed me.

I'd have gone with the Greddy for like $60 more. Sorry, I know how much I hate it when someone tells me I should have got something different once it's too late.

Maybe you could eBay it?

You can't even feel a 55 shot. Geez, you guys are all so scared of the sauce, if you have any questions, go to www.nosnitrous.com, and the FAQ section will put your fears to rest. If you follow the directions to the "T", then there is no "Tuning" that has to be done. NOS kits come jetted rich so they are very safe to run out of the box. No worries A-dog, you'll have fun with it.

I think you need to start charging Andy per hour and Andy should start charging admission to the rest of the AZ crew.

Do you think you guys can take any pictures? I'm interested in where you mount the bottle and solenoids. Thanks.
