Well I am a first time owner, I love the car and have for about 4 years not, but I have finally come up with the cash to purchase one. I purchased a 2000 GLE for 18,000. Car is loaded, it has every option available on that year as far as I can tell. I am a happy Maxima owner.

As long as I am writing I figure I should ask what would be the first mods I should do? What would give me the best performance increase as a starting point?

yeah i agree...i just bought my max about 4 months ago...ibought it used at as gxe model... i then put leahter sunroof and a spoiler in it the first month...i put a system(hott as hell) and some neons(under dash behind seats in the rear and under skirt)...i deck out my engine bay and put "xeons" (yeah right!!!!)and then about 2 weeks ago i bought a greddy evo exhaust and a stillen intake...i think the best bet is to go with the intake!!!! i love it...good luck and welcome to the ORG!!! I agree that the intake is as great a mod as any, but I think personally that springs and struts are the best first mod. Nt only does it give the car a whole new look, but the handling abilities of the max are also greatly enhanced
