I posted a week or two ago on the board about my accident, my car has been in the bodyshop for almost 2 weeks now and it will be ready next week, the estimate was 14,000 it needed a whole new front(fenders,hood,lights,grill and all that stuff) a new radiator and stuff, a new left suspension assembly and 3 new wheels.

It will be ready next friday. The bodyshop is putting in HID's in my fogs since my hid system was good after accident, they will change the old one to the fogs and put the new one in my new headlights. And also, 4 new Titanium edition wheels, I like the chrome finish . I figure since I lost the use of my baby for 3-4 weeks, I might as well get something new on her...Dolores will be happy with 2 new eyes and 4 new shoes.

 

Took me 5 weeks and over 5K to get my car back. Whole new front suspension, axle etc... and 2 new wheels... Feels great once you have it back

 

dood for that price you can scorea body kit, custom paint job, rims big brakes... exhaust ANYTHING you want, 14 grand is extremely expensive for what needs to be replaced

 

Well the whole car is being painted also, since the fenders pushed back on the doors and scratched the doors. so they're painting almost the whole car except the trunk and the rear quarter panels, but knowing them , they will paint the whole car.

I guess I'll be the first one on the ORG with a 2002 with 2003 Titanium rims. The feeling of having 4 HID's in my front makes me want to go pick up my car now.

This bodyshop works directly with my insurance, I know I could've done a whole lot more with that money, but I could care less, I got the stuff I really wanted. Living in Newark , NJ and parking on the street, you should keep your car looking stock, if they see mods, they will target it. I need a garage.

 

Newark ! ... OMG ! Im from Ny originally, so I know that in Newark you need a Rotweiller and an AK - 47 to keep your car from getting stolen !

 

haha I understand then keeping your car stock! kinda like LA!

 

I live in the best part o Newark too, the Ironbound section, nothing major goes on here, but car theft is still high, mostly if someone wants your car though for revenge or for something you have in it, if they want it, they will take it.

I remembermy friend's SI was stolen here, through links of people we found ou who stole the car and we bought the engine back from them, with an undercover police officer along with us, you can guess the outcome of that.

And that's why I want to keep my car stock looking.
