Autopage Alarm remote size comparison to factory

Well I finally got around and got this Alarm installed. It is a very nice alarm. I love the remote and chose this one over alot of others cause this remote was a small size and not bulky or too big.

It is a LCD Pager remote.

That shows the size to the OEM keyless entry fob and Nissan Key.

This shows the side view of how thick it is compared to the other fob.

Is this a paging service and if so what are the charges? Or is this just RF from the car itself?

Looks very interesting.

This alarm has a range of about 1000ft on flat ground. I have tested it from 300ft through walls and it works. It gets RF signal to and from the car unit itself. No charges.

I can click a button on the pager and it will return to me the temperature of the inside of my car so I know if I want to get the car started and warm/cool it down.

Do you still carry the OEM remote around to be able to do the Factory remote window rolldown and Trunk release? (But wasn't it like 2000-2001 w/o window rolldown?) These two concerns are the only ones that is stopping me from getting the Viper Responder (Bigger pager than the one you have?). I don't want to be carrying the pager and the OEM remote just to be able to use all the functions I originally had.

If you have the 2002+ car then you have Window Roll down. I do not. If you want that part of your Viper alarm setup, you are going to have to get them to install the window roll down option on the alarm.

I do not carry the OEM remote anymore, I got no use for it.

Nice pics, BigDogJonx!

The reason I chose the Autopage for my car was its size and because it is allowed by the FCC. A lot of their competitors are still trying to get past them.

I'd have to say the coolest damn option is that I can know what the temperature is inside my car... just from looking on my pager.

Did not know they were the only one with an FCC id. I thought the new Viper and alot of the others are FCC approved as well.

Yeah the temperature is cool, but mine is WAY off, I need to figure out where he put it cause something is seriously off. When I check it it shows like 176 F.

The Viper LCD wasnt out when I bought mine. They had it advertised at Circuit City... but when I inquired about it they said they weren't out yet.

I know for a fact that Aladdin has not been given FCC approval. I wanted one til I found out half the options werent available on the US model because of those reasons.

176ºF?!?!

My thermom. isn't dead on... but it's within 10º most of the time.

Yea this is out of WACK..... It seems only accurate the first time I check it, if I check it consecutives times after that like 10secs apart, it goes up 10degrees at a time, and then 20, and then 30 degrees per time i try it.

I dont care much for it anymore... maybe might get it checked out.

Yea it does, works great, Ive tested it from about 500ft so far, have not tested it from farther, it says 1000ft if it clear line of site, my 500ft was through my office building and it worked. So I think the range is right on.

You have a manual right? Did you install it yourself or have someone do it for you?

Nope have an autoMAGIC, and it cost nothing cause I had the shop who fixed my car for the stereo work bill the insurance company on it.
