Maxima.org car sighting in Jersey City Heights....

On Sunday afternoon at the light of Manhattan Ave. and Central Ave..... I'm on Central Ave. on my Kat relishing the beautiful day (and last riding day of the year most likely) and i see this gray-ish 5th gen max (00-01 black tails) with rims and a maxima.org sticker on the rear driver window.

Thats the first Maxima.org car i have seen.

Who was that masked man?

I think you may be the winner. Making a left off Manhattan onto Central... i was sitting first at the light on central about to fly past Pershing Field....

also.... it is quite hard to yell at a moving car while wearign a helmet.... nobody but me would understand and i woudl probably give myself a headache.

I bought mine for $4k used. It is a 98 and had 14xx miles on it when I bought it in May. The previous owner had dropped it off its kickstand twice; once on each side. I replaced the right handlebar and clutch lever and the left mirror has scratch marks on the plastic and there are soem scratches on the fairings and exhaust, but nothign too bad.

I had Suzuki on Rt. 23 do the replacing and change the oil and plugs and give it a once-over to see if there was anythign else wrong.

I love the bike as it is my 1st bike. I intend on keeping it until the end of next summer. I would like to sell and get 03 gixxer6. I have dropped this bike once in the grass in my yard I thought the kickstand was down and i wanst able to hold the 480 lbs up with one arm and i slowly placed it onto the grass.....obviously there was no damage. I have but about 2k miles on it over the summer.

The bike is slower than current Super Sports 600s, but it isnt slow. 12s in the 1/4, maybe 11s... i cant remember. You will blwo away any car on the road and the seatign position is more comfortable than most bikes. Stock is quiet as **** exhaust, but that can be fixed with a slip-on/jet kit. Im leavign mine stock as i want to sell it within a year.

everyone likes the blue color....

A Kat 600 is probably the biggest "beginner" bike that woudl be recommended. others include EX500 and ninja 250. I chose the Kat cause it was the best lookign and i bought from an acquaitance

I would agree that the KAT is a good 1st bike. I own an '02 CBR F4i (600 ss) and I love it, although I've been down on it twice. The SS's may be a handful for a new rider. I have not come accross any car I have not been able to smoke, including a Dodge Viper (damn fast car!!) If you decide to go with the Katana, ride the bag out of it and learn how to push it to the limits before stepping up to a larger bike. Be safe!
