I have a 02 max se and its base. I currently have the regular ac/heater unit and i want to get the automatic temperature control installed. I have no idea how much it would cost me but i am really interested in it and i want it. If anyone on the org has any information for me regarding this please post it. I want to know everything from how much it can cost me to what parts i would need and where i can get those parts from. Thanks for your responses and if you are wondering why i didnt get the automatic temp. control when i got my car was because i didnt want the bose and i could not get it alone.

I know it will fit and plug up, but the only thing I dont know will work is the AMB button which gives you the outside temp. I dont know if they dont wire that sensor or not.

The 4 or so sensors alone would probably total up to $100~$300, not to mention the harnesses, and the LCU that takes it all in.

You have a 2002 and it doesn't come with auto climate control??? I have a gxe 2002 and it is standard on all Maxima's in Canada.... as far as I know. Mine works great, set it and forget it. Good luck, if yoou get it installed.

(From what I've read in other posts) It's pretty much impossible or way too much of a hassle/expense to change from manual -> automatic climate control. Apparently the sensors are built into the car in 4-5 different spots when the car is manufactured.

You might want to do a search on the issue...

Check out ebay they r selling a Bose radion with auto climate control for pretty cheap.

We here in atl, ga. don't have that much standard equipment. Automatic temp. control is an option even on the SE and thats with the bose stereo.

You'd be better off to trade the car in. There are sensors in the top of the dash that would be nearly impossible to get to. Not to mention the cost.
