If you want good and affordable stick to the Nissan blades. If you want good and expensive get the PIAA Silicone blades.

Or if you want simple, get RainX.

Do the PIAAs last?

They are supposed to last a while. Do they? I must have used my Nissan wiper blades for a total of 4 hours and I already noticed a degrade in performance.

That's what I get for driving in the rain

yeah, glass polish does help.

rainx works super cool, until you start using the wipers and then it wears off. but for 3 bucks i'd give that a try (esp on side and rear windows, where you have no wipers anyway, helps keep them clear). chemicals are neat.

You go to an auto parts store and look for wiper blade conditioner. It'll help soften and clean the rubber. Or just use plain isopropyl alcohol to clean it. Your blades will work a lot better.

on a related note...

My wipers skip (kinda flutter in use) at high speeds (80+ mph). Would new wipers of a diff. brand fix this? Anyone else notice this?

I have the PIAAs and they work great, except right after you wash your car. When you wash the windshield, it takes off the base coat of silicone that the wipers need to work smoothly. Until the base coat is laid down again by running the wipers dry from 10-15 minutes, they don't work that well.

My friend just got Bosch wipers on his Accord and they worked surprisingly well. We were pretty shocked at the difference from stock Honda to Bosch.

Don't go RainX... I hated that stuff when I used it on my 94 max... now I try to stay away from it. I am considering the silicone ones though

Get the PIAAs!!!!

Ive had my PIAAs since they first came out. I had them on my old Max and they survived my double turnover with a totaled car twist, lol. Ive NEVER had a streak with these things. they work great! the only complaint I have is the black color of the blade housing is turning grey
