i plugged in an OBDII and got this
P0021
Camshaft Position Actuator A - Bank 2
Timing over advan.
how does a camshaft over advance itself?
or is it just the position indicator thats shiftend?
anyone know if i have to go to the deal for this problem?
thanks a lot

Reference No: FC9002981
Subject Information:
2002 Maxima/I35/Altima w/V6; DTC P0021 or P0011 with possible P0300
Document Abstract:
Service information:
If a 2002 Maxima/I35 or a 2002 Altima w/V6 engine should develop the following symptoms; -DTC with P0011 or P0021 with a possible P0300 stored (with possible misfire)
The cause may be the Intake Valve Timing Control Solenoid. If the VTC sprocket is not in the correct position at the correct time because of solenoid malfunction, incorrect valve timing could occur, causing the symptom.
Service Procedure:
Look for a cylinder misfire that is isolated to only one bank of cylinders. Once the bank is isolated, check the function of the Intake Valve Timing Control Solenoid for that bank.

Thats all I could find on the ASIST referencing that code. Unfortunately all my techs are gone already (slow afternoon) so I can't get any insight from them. Hope this info helps for now.
