Car Broken Into

NOOOOOOOO it happened to me this morning. i cant believe it those DAMN BASTARDS!!!!!!!!! well let me tell the whole story.

I woke up this morning at about 3:30 AM because something just told me to go check on the car. so i went out there and everything was fine and dandy. so i was like better safe than sorry right, wrong. when i woke up to go to work i went outside again and i saw my window was pried out and the window molding had some BAD damage. they ripped out my A pillar and took the gauges. they also broke open my glove compartment where lo and behold i left my fiancee camera because we forgot about it. so far i have spent about close to 400 dollars on getting my window fixed and ordering new parts, sad part is im not done. my dad felt really bad for me so he is going to help me get an alarm. im getting the one that has that pager device on it so at least i know whats going on. also im going to buy my g/f a new camera so thats about another 400.00. just a really bad day!!!!!

My sincere regrets!

I've had stuff stolen out of my old car and it really makes you keep your guard up. Sorry this had to happen to your Max...right when you were about to add the Climate Control mod. At least they couldnt steal that. Hope everything works out.

$400? Why not put in an insurance claim? Your deductible won't go up at all because it is not your fault. Even if your deductible is $500 and the total damage including the camera is $700, you still get a $200 check from the insurance company. Plus if you tell them that you collection of 500 CDs was stolen as well, you might get a little more $$.

haha yeah im thinking of claiming because as of right now were i stand on damage and stolen items from the car exluding the camera is around 800.00, which should help me out a bit on getting a good alarm.

Sorry to hear about the loss Dario, I hope it all works out for you. If you're interested in a pager-type alarm system, I remember reading somewhere that BigDog had one installed after his break-in, you could try PMing him...

You would be crazy not to claim. It's free money. No strings attached.

You would also be crazy not to lower your deductible to $250 if it isn't already that low.

But you need to claim ASAP because the insurance company will start to wonder if you wait any longer.

Sorry to hear about your loss.
Just wondering what happened to the factory alarm system when those bastards jacked into your car? I thought that alarm should be activated when someone enter the car w/o using the key?

damn that sucks

btw: i have the Crimestopper CS-2015FM which has the page feature if your alarms goes off--- i've had nothing but problems & dont recommend it....I'll most likely be switching to a Compustar Pager Alarm or a AutoPage alarm system w/ page feature...

As I recall, BDJ's only complaint is some features work farther than others. The overall range he said was pretty good.. just annoyed that sometimes you can arm it at one distance, but starting is like closer or something.. Even tho, I saw him start it from across a parking lot so thats not bad either.

He said the in-car temp feature was freaky sometimes. Like the first time you check, it correct.. but was giving odd readings if you checked it again right away. Dunno..
