Has anyone had any problems with the outside temp gauge being accurate? Mine seems to be always 5-8 degrees off.

Mine seems to be right on as long as the car is moving at a decent pace. Stuck in traffic, its way off as its sensing the engine and road heat.

mine seems pretty dead on compared to weather.com. Keep in mind, it's measuring the temperature close to the road.

hmmm

mine is accurate when moving. Traffic or hot asphalt can skew it a bit...

Temp Guage

Mine is right on except if you pull your car out of a cool garage and start driving when you know that the outside temp is about 10 degrees warmer then the temp in your garage. It takes the temp guage about 20 - 30 minutes to adjust to the correct temp. I believe that Nissan made it that way to avoid the temp guage coming up in temp when you are sitting in traffic. It will adjust from a hot temp to a cooler temp much faster.
BTW: What does "AMB" stand for anyway?????

Does the temp guage only come with the automatic climate control system?

I noticed the amb temp switch to farily accurate (+/-2 deg) kyw1060 says its 27 , i look at mine it says 25. Then if they measure the temp in center city, and your in the suburbs, its gonna differ. The amb is accurate to where you are at.

Sensor Location

The temperature sensor is located in front of the condenser in a metal enclosure with a small opening in it. This is to prevent a rapid exchange of air temperature.
