Tested the MPG on my car...

Filled up the Max with 10 gallons of 93 Chevron gas about a week ago and the gas light came on. I drove 216.7 miles before filling up again. Is 21MPG about the average everyone is getting? Will the drop in K&N filter really make a difference in increasing the MPG total.

Thanks in advance for you input.

Just filled up yesterday at 13.8 gallons, 91 chevron gas at 335 miles.... that's around 24.7 mpg (spirited driving, red lining, and 60% highway, 40% local less than 3 miles at a time)

I have been using the trip computer, which reads my MPG for me on my 2003 SE with auto. I reset it after each refill, just to see if anything changes. So far my car only has 3000 miles on it, but for the past five refills I have averaged 22 MPG for 90% city driving. That's using Citgo 91 (7-11). Seems that Chevron is near extinct around here, and I haven't seen better then 91 rated fuel since moving to Reno.

33mpg in my 2k2 auto coming from Blacksburg to Northern Va! The oxygenated gas in this area really keeps the mpg down.

The funny thing is going down my mileage was only around 27-29. I always seem to get better gas mileage when buying gas down south. My car runs better also. It's not just my max, my old Honda civic EX used to get great mileage down south.

I'm getting anywhere from 17-22 city/highway. Usually more around 17-19 city, so it's not just you.
