Switch Bose for Midline, plug and pray?

Does anybody know if you can plug the Bose head unit in place of the midline unit with the stock 6 speaker system? Or is the wiring harness completely different?

hi Paul...

I think the BOSE system has inline amplifiers on the speakers and their resistance is odd... like 1/2 an ohm or so... So I don't think you can just plug in a BOSE HU into the stock system.

i tried to do this in a friends car...its a totally diff harness, i had to build it from scratch and it took 3 days. not fun, theres just 2 amps, the one on the sub and the one under the rear deck. the bose head has no amp built in and will not run the midline speakers.....dont do it, buy and aftermarket unit and call it a day. the bose sounds like booty anyway.
