Transmission

Hello All,
I have a problem...Recently I have noticed that when I put my car into reverse(I have automatic Tranny)that the car makes a grindy noise when I step on the gas to go in reverse. It sounds like the transmission. I have never heard this noise before it is very noticable. Also, I recently installed a BOMZ FSB, could that have anything to do with the grinding noise...The car is fine when it is in drive, only in reverse...help!!!

Welp, Got the car back from the dealer today....they said it was my Bomz FSB. Note, anyone that has put a Bomz FSB, must use padding on in middle area of the bar. Why? because it rubs against the top of the intake plenum. My Bomz FSB did not come with spacers, did anyone elses?

Yes you are 100% right there, I had the same problem, the FSTP was rubbing on top of the throttle body bracket or the body itself.

Only way around is to put a couple washers on each bolt, I would say do 2 washers a piece on all 6 studs. If it still happen, then do another one.

3 should be MORE than enough.

BTW, no FSTB comes with the spacers, you have to realize alot of these no-name and other FSTB companies use a universal fstb and make the end pieces. So there is usally a fitment issue. Just get the washers from home depot and you will be a happy camper. The FSTB looks nice so I would stay with it and get some washers.

This might be a stupid question but What the best type of washer to use? Metal or Rubber Washers?
