Lets compare number of Nissans owned.
This will tell you more about my age than anything else.
1) In South Africa I had a 1970 Datsun SSS Coupe, 4sp, (in US sold as 510) My brother raced it into the ground.
2) 1980 Datsun 210 4dr, 5sp, lasted 18 years. Bumper rusted off with motor still fine. What personality that car had.
3) 1981 Datsun 310 4dr 4sp, hatchback. Lasted 4 years, motor would die when shifting at highway speeds. My wife was the principle driver.("user" is more correct than "driver")
First car I had with a sun roof.
4)1997 Maxima SE 5sp green (almost British Racing green). Searched for months for a loaded 5sp to replace 2). Got stolen May 1999
5) Maxima 2000 White 5sp, bought Sept 1999. Waited months for the 17" wheels.
All above bought new. Loved them all

Hey mdeal- There is more to the story- It was about 12 years ago, my boss at the time moved me to a store about 75 miles away, & I objected, he told me deal with it, he had a really clean '76 280Z he had gotten new, I said give me your car to commute in & he did! That car really made an impression on me, fast & bulletproof, I commuted in it, 150 miles a day for 18 months, it never let me down! Anyway, that's why I put it in my list of Nissans!

My first car :-) A 1992 Infiniti G20t. Loved that little b*tch! But, some guy totaled my car, but it didnt really matter coz then I got my Max :-)

 

I've only had the chance to own 2 cars in my time. 1st was a POS Mitsubishi Galant which just loved hanging with the local mechanics. I'm now the proud owner of the Max and loving every minute of it! :smile:

That is my Nissan list, it is all that matters. I have owned many other cars but nothing was more fun to own than a Nissan/Datsun!

Thanks alot, the tint really makes the color stand out and make the car look sharp. I never see any this color especially in SE trim. I really really like the white color and wish i had that with black leather, damn that would be sexy. I also love black too. I think i got gold after tons of deliberation plus it was like the only one they had with 17" rims and blonde cloth. This color looks silver in really bright sunlight too. its cool..

Yea that is my choice right now is a white SE with black leather 5spd. I hope I can find one.....

gosh! you guys are really into Nissan/Datsun.

first car I owned was a '82 Ford Escort (totaled after my first accident - T-boned a Dodge Charger at the same time, not bad)

Other cars:

'79 AMC Spirit - gotta love the huge wheels (at that time)

'84 Renault Encore - little car, fairly zippy, but engine not peppy enough (sold to a girl who didn't mind that)

'85 Chrysler LeBaron GTS - my first turbo car (sold it to another girl at a gain!)

'86 Dodge Aries Wagon - more solid than some of the cheap cars we can find nowadays (sold it to the third girl... erh.. actually her bf)

'93 Chevy Corsica - back to basic no thrilled kind of a car, been through all kind of messes including a hail storm with baseball size hails (traded it and regretted that)

'99 Nissan Maxima SE-L - still getting its job done well, paint job quality is even worse than my Chevy though
