Hello from a new 5th gen member with my new to me 2k1AE

Well I have finally made the move from the 4th gen forum. I just bought a beautiful 2k1 AE 5sp Grey Lustre with charcoal leather from Mississippi_Max. I guess now it’s time to drive the wife crazy with the endless coats of Zaino and a few mods here and there. Thanks to the good taste of the previous owner it already has a great tint job and a FSTB.

My first question is kind of a poll and hopefully some links to photos.

QUESTION: I can’t decide whether to put clear lenses at all four corners or just at the front. To any of you out there with darker colored cars and photos I would love to be able to compare.

Thanks in advance. - Oh and I will update my sig soon!

BTW: Look for my 99SE-L in the for sale forum in the near future.

congrats on your new purchase.

i would get all four clears. the fronts come w/ amber bulbs. you'll have to purchase red bulbs or leds for the rears.

Personally, I think they only look good on White Maxxes... But to each his own.. I use amber and red LED's in mine ....

personally, ive changed my mind a few times. i had all 4 clears when i first got the car but i switched to clear/red (as in the picture) because it looks much better with the stock rims.

just recently i got a set of 18 inch Volk in Gunmetal and i didnt like the look as much. i bought a set of clears for the back again. but now since i am selling my Volks i think i am going to stick with clear up front and red in the back.

If you just do the fronts.. it doesnt look to bad. It just depends on your taste.

If your Max is a white.. This is the first mod you should do , after tint ! , make sure you use LED's , not some BS bulbs !
