During winter break , i went down to Stillen to talk to some of their "experts", Surprising I was told that they are not making B-Pipe for 5th gen max due to IT DOES NOT GAIN ANY POWER FROM IT. Also, the Turbo magazine project max a while ago, they said that it did not have a Full Cat-Back, it only had a rear section exhaust.

So, how can HKS gained 4 hp at wheel by just adding rear section exhaust to 5th gen max???????

As we all know, they are aslo not making SC kit for auto owners due to the kit wont' even fit right, and one guy told me that if I really want to do it on my Auto max, just have to replace the filter part of the kit????

Is that right?

Anyone?

Power isn't everything . . .

I decided to install an aftermarket exhaust system primarily because I wanted to hear my pipes. I figured as long as I was going to remove my resonator and replace my muffler, I might as well install a complete cat-back system. I don't know if I gained any appreciable power by doing that, but my Max sure sounds sweet!

If you're in So. Cal., don't worry about buying a Stillen B-Pipe. Among other things, you don't need stainless steel. In fact, you could have a complete aluminized mild-steel custom cat-back system installed in your Max for the price of Stillen's B-pipe alone. Just make sure you go to a reputable muffler shop to have the job done. If you don't know of one, send me an e-mail and I'll refer you to mine.

I think it's more complicated than that... probably new piping that's angled differently. If it was just the filter, Stillen would've changed it and sold it to autos. Think about it... there are more autos than manuals, so why pull out on the larger market?
