FrankenCar Intake or Cold Air Induction

I can't get Steve to reply, so I'll start a thread that has probably already been around the block a few times:

which is quieter? by how much?

which is cheaper? by how much?

which is easier to install? by how much?

which is more powerful? by how much?

does one work better with y-pipe or other mods than the other?

Complete answers to all of these questions will aid in my decision to buy an intake for my baby.

thanks for the help...

I am sure some people are going to say use the search.

From what I have read here are my answers:
Frankencar is alot louder.
Frankencar is around $50 cheaper. More if you chose K&N over Apexi.
Frankencar is probably easier to install. Not sure on the rest.

If it helps, I purchased one and am waiting on the frankencar to be delivered. Hope this info helps.

Franken car is easier to install
PR - need to drill a hole on ur frame
Injen - second to franken car....not too hard to install.

which is more powerful? by how much?
depends on when u dynoed....dyno ur stock car in a 110 degree summer weather and then dyno it again at 55 degree during winter with ur new intake. u will see a big difference this way

CAI draws more cold and dense air....in theory, it should be better.

does one work better with y-pipe or other mods than the other?
they are the same....once u breath better, u have to fart quicker. I would save the money for the y pipe if u dont have it yet.

Complete answers to all of these questions will aid in my decision to buy an intake for my baby.

thanks for the help...

FYI : the only true CAI for maxima is the place racing CAI.

thanks for not trying to be a A** or FLAME...

but I wasn't around when it was already covered, and would like some fresh input...

is there really any "new" stuff to cover with the 5th Gen Maxima?

what could we talk about that hasn't been covered at some point? to the nth degree?

Don't you know that there is a 3 week holding period between performance part discussion before it's new again?

please, only answer if you are in the know...

I put a Stillen (Stealin-whatever) Filter-Charger on my sr20de powered 1998 Sentra SE...results:

it felt like it took away the little bit of low end grunt that the 4 cyl had, and gave it a little more high end power...

will the same happen with the CAI?

People say that you loose low end with FrankenCar intake, I didn't notice any. Car has enough torque so you won't really notice it. Car feels stronger, especially up top. I like the sound, it is quite when you crusing but when you go WOT it really starts to roar, which I like.
