pothole+tire=misery

Hello all and happy new one...

A few weeks back after it snowed here in NYC I ate a bad pothole...I noticed yesterday while I was applying meguiar's tire gel I have a bubble on my front right. The tire has 13K miles on it, should I two new tires, or just one? Could the pothole have caused the bubble? Should I be concerned about any other damage, engine, suspension, etc?

I'm gonna try and get the dealer to replace or at least give me a new tire at a reduced price...

it happened to me too. i busted two tires. front and back of passenger side. it very slighly dented rim. i can't even see the dent. one discount tire told me it was and another never said it was. i can't feel vibration from the wheel and it holds air well, so I don't worry about it. But you might want to check the rim. I doubt it hurt the rest of your suspension.

That happened to me on my 96 and I bent the rim beyond repair. I was ****ed because OZ didn't make them any more and I ended up having to buy 4 new ones.

I did call the city and fill out a report trying to get reimbursed. I kind of got screwed - they said because they knew about the pothole and patched it within a certain time period they weren't liable. You might check and see what their policy is. TAKE PICTURES of it.

I ended up going through my insurance. They said it wouldn't raise my rates, but with a $500 deductible it was almost not worth it. I bought a set of Milles for $750 so they covered 250.

This is the worst thing that can happen to a car.

Like me, last week this construction crew forgot to put a steel plate over this pothole..... And I ran over that crap at 3am.. Major hit, I knew shiet got messed up. I got 19s, Chrome, Momos, cost over $900 a wheel alone.

Went back the next morning to take pics during the day at 10am, guess what, plate was back on.... nice? right?

So lucky I got a 5th wheel but now I have no more spares to rely on.
