ITR's are pretty quick. An auto max can keep up or maybe even beat a GSR depending on the driver, but an ITR...I don't know. Race him and find out

Well that "4 banger" is probably one of the best "4 bangers" out there. Driving the Type R requires skill. If you friend has the skills, he will beat you. If not, he won't. now if you take that car to the twisties... bye bye Maxima.

If you had mods, you'd take him if he was stock but any mods on his part and you may be seeing the Type R emblem, watch out, if he is a good driver he'll take you.

Only a 5th gen 5spd will take a Type R stock for stock. All autos will loose badly.

it would take alot

for a 2K automatic to hang w/ITR's.

These cars are weird...when the motors are still green, they can be pretty slow...slow as my GS-R. As I've raced a friend's ITR and he only barely edged me out, but he has a cold air intake while I've got intake/exhaust.

As the B18C5 get's broken in, they get stronger. Stockers are known to run mid to high 14's in the hands of a capable driver.

If it's a real Type R then according to motor trend it runs a 6.2sec 0-60 and a 14.8 1/4 mile. So the automax will probobly get pulled. If its an Acura Integra Type R (R for Rice, meaning the only perfomance mods are "R" Stickers) then race 'em and smoke 'em.

Even though a lot of mags claim those #'s, i have never seen or heard of any type r running better than a 15.2-3, stock, so if you mod the auto max, y-pipe, intake, exhaust, it would be close, but if he had i/h/e, then it may be a different story

Stock to stock, an auto Max will get trounced by an ITR.

Hmm... I see them run high 14's all the time. It's not going to be "close" stock to stock auto.

Shing is right. high 14s is good enough to beat an average Stick Max so auto would be out of the question.

You will lose to a 5 speed integra type R if your max is stock and a automatic. I posted a race between my 5 speed max and a 5 speed integra type R about 2 months ago. I barely beat him all the way up to 90 mph. I only stopped racing because I was ahead by 3 car lengths at that point. The last time I raced an auto max, I had at least 5-6 car lengths easy. If you get a good jump on him off the line, you might give him a descent race for a while, but once that v tec kicks in... forget it.
