[rant] dirty back bumper [/rant]

Don't you guys hate it when you spend half the day washing your Max, then get in to drive a mile or two, and by the time you get out, there's already dust and dirt on the rear bumper?!?!?!?!?!

Danged automagic is so slow, even dirt is catching me from behind!!!

Yes! I thought I was losing my mind. Why the hell does the back bumper get so dirty? I have to clean it off every other day. It is the entire top lip of the back bumper that gets covered in crap. I even tried puttting about 5 coats of wax on and it doesn't help.

carnuba wax will attract dirt and dust, much more than a synthetic. just a for your information.

I think it's because the back-end is exposed to everything. Like when you park in a lot it's exposed. Also the dirt and dust the tires kick up from the road. It settles on a flat surface, and that is the flat surface closest to the ground.

I have a black 2k and it definitely gets annoying. Try going with synthetic wax it'll help a little bit. And get one of those California Car Dusters...they save so much time and no scratches!

Yeah... I definitely recommend one of those. In fact, I just keep mine IN the trunk!

I guess it could be a combination of aerodynamics and the fact that the drain from the rear window comes out on that area (Pour some water over the window and see where it comes out).

my car is dirty to the point were u cant even notice the dirt buildup on it anymore! I havnt even had the time to wash my car for like 2 months now i feel horable about it too. id usually do it myself but its so damn cold i dont even feel like it. i dont know if its the cold water keeping me from doin it or im just lazy. but honestly yeah that crap on the rear bumper does get on my nerves (when my car is clean that is ) its even worse when u have the stillen kit just more places for the dirt to cling on to.

go find a nice smooth dirt road and drive on it. notice all the dust that goes up behind your car? basically your rear tires kick up debris as you drive and the air stream from the car sucks them in. some happen to hit your rear and some *gasp* actually deposit on your bumber.. i have a gray car so it's not much better for me either. try a huge set of mudguads thought not really effective against dry dust.

Yeah, I think I'll go get me a set of them trucker mudflaps. The ones with the chrome nekkid ladies on them! That should help.

You're right that it's the aerodynamics of the car and whatnot. I was just b!tching, really.
