RE: Gas

I'm in Houston & pay $ 1.45 for Texaco Premium close to my house, but I'm sure there's cheaper gas or locations.

South Florida is insane, about $1.89 for Premium. I'm back at school in Gainesville now, which is North Florida, gas is about $1.60 for premium here.

Jeez TX2KSE, you'll never know how strong your Max is running that crap. Switch to the premium stuff for a few days, give your ECU time to adjust, and be prepared for a shock!

California gas prices are astronomical, of course. Right now 92 octane is going for between $1.70 and $1.90 a gallon in Los Angeles. It's about $.10 a gallon higher in San Diego.

But man do we have great weather !!!

You read it, I'll weep...

£0.80. Or about $1.20.
Unfortunately the stinger is it's the price per litre.

Come on. It's an automatic. It's not pinging. And 5 or 6 points higher octane isn't going to get me a 1 second decrease from 0-60. It'll just empty my wallet faster.

David>>> $1.20 per litre?? OUCH! Let's see... 3.8L in a Gallon, so that makes it about $4.56 per gallon, right? Dang! A little higher and you could be using nitro methane for RC cars! (I wouldn't really recommend that, though).

Apples to oranges.

With the mods he has, any little tweak can produce big results.

Can anyone show me dynos for a stock automatic '00 SE that was using 93 octane? I have dynos for mine using 87. Let's compare.
