OT: Nissan Titan

I may be trading up:

300 HP/375 TQ 5.3L V8
Standard Spray in BedLiner
Outside Locking Shelf
BedRail System

I'll probably let the wife drive the Max if I get this. I currently have a 91 Explorer that I kept to trade in the 97 F-150 for the Max. Love the Max, but miss the utility of having a truck. Thoughts?

I'm glad to see This truck. It shows Nissan is ready to play with the big boys. The Thundra is Fullsize but doesn't really have Fullsize Guts. The T-100 was a joke. 5.6 liter V8, That will take some business away from Ford/Chevy for sure. This has always been a complaint, Japan can't make big motors. Well They've done it now.. Now Nissan Needs to work on a Big Diesel.

Also I'm thinking the Next Pathfinder might have a V8 b/c the New 4Runner has a V8, and Maybe Maxima down the road.

Man, I would not know how to live without having a car AND a truck to pick from as the mood hits.

Well, I'm definatley keeping the max to let my wife drive. We're getting married this summer and she currently has a 93 Sable (yuck). We have a small driveway and definatley need to lose some cars.

Japan can make good trucks with great engines, they just don't show here or if they do, GM or Ford would be all over them. If we can clean up our gas/diesel, perhaps we will see some advanced turbo diesel engines. Isuzu has had a 3L TDI in the Trooper for several years now.

You guys be careful with these "gas-guzzlers". Gas prices are still going up. Problems in Venezuela, Middle East, and who knows if anything will come. Take it easy- good luck w/ the new truck.

Titan looks nice. I think I want another VQ in the family, so I just introduced my wife to the new 2004 Quest.

I know it's not the prettiest but, c'mon, it's a minivan! She will get the room she loves and I will get another VQ

Agree, the Oddyssey is the best designed minivan around, but I'm not ready to pay MSRP or have to get into a 2-3 month waiting list. I'm not playing Honda's game. And it has no VQ

I agree...my other car is a Ford Excurtion with the V-10 and that eats gas like it is going out of style (try 8-9 MPG)

That truck doesnt look to good even though its a Nissan, if you want a full size truck as much as I hate to say it stick to American models. If I were to buy one I would get the new Ram and some of thsoe stock chrome rims that come on some look great.

And don't forget the Dana 44, locking differential, and multiple skid plates. It should make a good off-roader.

Your uncle is a good man. Here in IL, I have heard of 2-3 month waiting lists for Odysseys and Pilots. And you know what happens when demand is greater than the supply: prices go up!
I still don't know if we'll be buying a new minivan this year or next year. Unless our '97 Villager dies a sudden death, it will be most likely next year.

yeah the pilots are nice too. my uncle sold all his s2000's to people he knew would trust not to resell it for a higher value. i mean now the s2000 isnt such a markup but he told me only trusted people could buy them because they loved the car, not loved to make a profit.
