Costco Tire Coupon - $60 Off

Just got a coupon from Costco, $60 off four Michelins. Pilot Sports, here I come!!!!! Last time I checked, they wanted $195/tire. Will be $180 with the coupon. Still steep, but better!

Now if they will come of backorder you can actually buy them. You'd better check that expiration date and see if they will give you a rain check.

If they are off backorder, let me know. Thanks!

Just got off the phone with them, they are still on back order, but they claim two weeks. Price has gone up, however, to $208.99 per, plus $10 for mounting and balancing. Total price with tax (in LA area) is $888. If I buy from TireRack, I can get them for about the same price, and they are in stock, but not at the west coast warehouse (you pay more to ship from the midwest). Cost per tire is $197, and no sales tax. I'm thinking of going that way. Then I can pick who installs, rather than trust my car to Costco.

Let's see, they were originally $195 per tire, but now they'll give you a coupon for $15 off after they mark them up $14 to $209...American retail at it's best.

now that you know a coupon exists, CALL CORPORATE AND GET MORE! I do this at Home Depot all the time... get a 10% off coupon good for one item over $200 and I call Atlanta and get another, or just call and get one if I need to buy something over $200.

So, get on the phone with Costco Corporate and get 3 more coupons!!!

Re: Re: Re: Costco Tire Coupon - $60 Off

Well, did a bit more tire shopping. Local guys at TirePro had them in stock at their local warehouse, got me out the door inc tax, mounting, balancing, etc. for $900 even. Slightly higher than Costco would have been by about $10, same for TireRack, but at least they had the tires in stock! Wasn't worth waiting around until they got them for $10. Haven't really tried them out yet, but they look terrific. Also, they had a slightly damaged SE rim that somebody had left (the shop had found him a replacement rim at a wrecking yard), they sold it to me for $25 with one of my old tires mounted, so now I have a full-size spare.
