Question for tire people
Last week I had alignment done at the dealer. Today I noticed my front tires were mounted and rotating the wrong way (I have Michelin Pilot Sport A/S). I know it wasn't like this before I went to the dealer. Dealer says they don't take the tire off when doing an alignment and that all their techs went home already. So I paid $20 at Pep Boys to switch the two front tires around so that they are rotating the right direction. I figure I went a few hundred miles with my Michelin's rotating against their uni-directional tread pattern. You think there's any long term damage done? Damn dealer, I know they took the tires off, don't know why they needed to though.

Doesn't matter if the dealer syas they don't take the tire off. They obviously switched the front two wheels AND tires (mounted them on the wrong sides.
You should be fine as long as there is no abnormal wear.
By the way, you paid $20 for Pep Boys to switch the front two tires? Why didn't you just have them switch the sides they are on?? If you move the front right tire to the left side and vice versa, your problem is solved.

You already have everything you need to rotate your tires. You just need a parking spot, your spare tire and jack from the trunk. Might take a little longer but doable.

There doesn't seem to be any abnormal wear. Pep Boys did just switch the front two tires and they wanted $20. I live in an apartment and there is no place where I could've done it myself. I would've if I could've borrowed a 2 Ton jack or something.
