Gxe or se

Gxe or se
My mom bought a 00' maxima, but i can't tell if it is a GXE or SE. What are some differences between the two? The maxima has a spoiler, big rims (I think they are 16), the tires look like they are made for speed. it is also and automatic, why do people call it an automagic?

2. Black tail lights
3. Black trim around door handles.
4. Body matched exterior door handles
5. Black "Maxima" on rear
16"s are actually the smaller sized wheel. MOST SE's come with 17"s.
Also, how can a tire "look like it is made for speed"?
Automatics "magically" shift for you. I prefer to call them autotragics.

- White guages
- Chrome wraping around the 2 out-ports of the muffler
- Extra cross-bracing in front of the radiator
- SE always have the SE badge (smoke - black by default) (unless someone took them off). GXE (up here) never GXE badged. i.e. The GLE says GLE, the SE says SE, the GXE says nothing.
- The GXE is locked to +-90MPH. The SE (with Comfort and Convinience) can hit +-120.
Among the most expensive - hardest to change are (GXE - SE):
- Black - White guages
- Chrome - Body door handles
Things people never look for:
- Smoke / black Maxima and SE (no GXE) badge.
- Chrome exhaust tip wraper.

Not that anyone ever drives that fast
But yeah, body color door handles, white faced gauges, diagonal braces in front of the radiator are good signs of an SE. Or you can just get VIN number and call Nissan and ask - I did it when I first got my car.

I do believe though that the SE can top out higher due to it's 17" tires and slight mods made to the suspension, adjustment of speed limiter, I believe it is 140 or 142, I could be wrong though.

I believe the auto hits around 130 mph and the manual around 140 mph(drag limited). I ran out of road at just about 130 (no traffic, late at night) and had to slow down for my exit just as I reached 130 so I didn't experience the speed limiter or ECU kick in yet.

to my dislike it is a GXE. But it has a cd player and power seat
