shock/strut question

when i go over potholes and larger bumps, it is very jarring, and definitely intrudes into the cabin MUCH more so than it used to (2k2 GLE with 10K miles). it becomes almost unbearable with more than 2 people in the car with me. does anyone know what may be wrong, so that i will have a good thing to say when i bring it to the dealer? thanks guys. the car doesn't seem to "flop around", and pushing down on one corner doesn't seem to produce excessive bounce, although i have nothing to compare it to, since this is the first car i've owned.

yeah, tire pressures, all the other intangibles seem to be ok. it's definitely the suspension...there is a certain bump that i go over once in a few months when i go to my parents' home...when i went over it recently, it was definitely much worse

You have a 2k2 and if it has under 36k miles, it's still under warranty. Bring it to the dealer and have them investigate.

Yes, and while there, see if you can park next to a similar vehicle and do a side-by-side 'push down test'.

That will give you a point of reference as well.

Tokico Blue / KYB GR-2 is your cure. The Maxima has the worst shocks I have ever experienced. Mine have 66k miles on them and new ones are on their way.
