Rattle in the steering column?

I've got this intermitent rattle that sounds like it is coming from around where the key is, but I'm having trouble telling. Anyone have something similar? I don't want to go tearing my dash up looking for it.

If you have the telescoping steering column it is the adjuster inside the column. I had the rattle and ended up removing the column and re-adjusting a set screw that is inside. The set screw adjusts how easy it is to move the column in and out. If it is set too loose the column rattles over bumps. If this is the problem you have just let the dealer replace the whole column under warranty. They will not adjust the set screw because the service manual says that you are not supposed to take apart the column. But I took it apart anyway because I will not let the dealer touch my car, even if it does not cost me anything.
