Whats the difference between all Y-pipes???

Hey guys,
Im kinda looking at different y-pipes and prices. I just want to know if there is any actuall difference in them between all the brands out there? Also, how do I find out if my car is cali or fed?

RE: Cali or Fed: Lift up your hood. There will be a sticker that says something like "meets CA emmissions". If it says that your Cali.

Its a white sticker on the bottom side of the hood. Just left of center if I recall.

Also...look at your engine. If you see 4 blue plugs right in front...you are cali.

I would say so. I only see two plugs..but please dont take my word for it. Verify by seeing it in writing on that sticker under the hood.

I think you are cali spec. It looks like 4 plugs to me right to the left of your cylinder head.

Yeap 2 plugs in the front mean you are Fed spec.

Dude, The Great Debate has begun. You look Cali spec to me! Sorry to add to your confusion. I have seen Fed specs and they are clearly 2 plugs. Nowhere close to this ambiguity.

I think it'll say it in the sticker on front driver side when u open the door.

igor- run a carfax report and see where your car was titled for 1st time.(since you bought it used). Cali cars are a bit more $ because of add'l equipment, and there is no demand for those in other than CA. My point is that CA spec are being sold only in CA.

Yup.. I bought mine from the original owner. He lived in NY. It had 25 miles on it when he bought it. I Assumed it was Fed Spec. I have 4 plugs in front. You have two. I'll bet ya fi dolla you are fed spec.
