2k AutoMax vs Altima 2.5SE 5spd

Who would win if a 2k AutoMax raced a Altima 2.5SE 5spd from 0-60 & to the 1/4mile?

I already did a search and this particular set-up isn't on this forum.

assuming a competent driver in the Alty, it would be a good race. 2k automagic should still take the cake though with manual shifting.

I've beat one in every aspect, but I've got quite a few mods though as well.

Maxima driver loosing to a rather heavy, non-turbo & non-SC 2.5L car is a looser!

Why do you say that, have you raced one, is this all based on your solid facts or is this just inuendo?

Not being sarcastic or mean spirited, it's just you didn't offer any real insight and neither did a lot of other members on this board who only seem to be concerned with the 2k/2 2k3's performance.

I'm not bashing any 2k2 or 2k3, I have all the respect in the world for them but it seems that there are a lot of arrogant and sarcastic people on this forum who have their noses stuck up in the air because they have a faster vehicle.

You ask a basic question around here and you get a lot of smart aleck comments and flaming responses. This board is supposed to be about helpful info and sharing that and other experiences.

Not clowning someone because you know more than they do about this car or that car, sorry about the long post, it's just hard to get a straight answer from some folks.

Again I ask, who would win? I still need facts from others or opinions if you have one that is valid.

Thank you SteVTEC

The Altima 2.5S manual weighs nearly 250lb less than a 2k auto

FWIW, I've simulated an Altima 2.5S manual in CarTest2000 just to see how good it would do. It did about 16.1 @ 87 I think, which was nearly dead even with my 01 Accord V6.

A 2k automagic doesn't run much better than that stock, thanks to the crappy shift points. People have run 15.8-16.1 typically. But manually shifting at redline should put you a few cars in front. People have run 15.5-15.6 stock with manual shifting vs the 15.8's or higher leaving the computer to shift.

Unfortunately, no mags have even tested the 2.5S 5spd - they all test the V6 model. So there's not much hard data out there to go on. You'll probably win, but don't sleep
