Discounts on 2003 Maximas
I got the deal for $24K minus $1000 for rebate so $500 under dealer invoice. Problem? they want me to get it by Friday (since to my dismay they aren't open Saturdays for my convenience). They want the numbers before the end of the month. I may make her come in on Friday though just to **** her off since she's beeing kind *****y towards me and my brother. Does anyone know if Feburary will offer any more than the $1000 rebate? I'd hate to buy it and then find out the rebate is $2000 off in feburary.

Here's the thing, I have to trade my current car. Unless someone knows of an internet dealer that will accept trades, I'll have to go though the dealer process. That would be great but I've never heard of a site that does trades.

I don't know if you can or not, but thats what I did. I just went ahead and got the Max, and put my other car, (that I already owned) in the paper; for sale.
I went with a friend of mine to pick up his 03 SE-R from some defroster repair and started spying a 03 Majestic Blue automagic with the grey cloth interior. Here comes the salesman. He let me test-drive no strings attatched (but me and you know that's instantaneous BS). I knew later on he'd bug me to get the car. After a long while, i started walking away. Out comes store manager.
So he asks me to humor him (i noticed business was really SLOW and this was at the infamous Cerritos Auto Square). He takes me back to look at a Grey Lustre fully loaded SE 6-spd. Man, I nearly nutted my pants. That thing was beautiful and I noticed it had aftermarket 18" wheels on it. The manager says this bit about an army guy that couldn't keep paying for the car cuz he was getting shipped off so he sold it back to the dealer, blah blah blah...
1200 miles on the car, the manager sits me down and crunches numbers.. i let him because i'm a patient guy and he's the one wasting his time. He asks what a comfortable price range for me is... i said $350/mo.. but i don't want to buy a new car right now because i don't have steady income. He looks at me like i'm nuts and i look outside and say "you're not selling very many of those out there today huh? Just the ones in the back?" He gives another look and writes $375/month @ 0.42%
Of course i had to break it to him once more that I don't have steady income and so I can't make a car purchase. I'm assuming 375/mo is pretty damn good considering my friend pays 350/mo for his SE-R. Yes my credit is Holy.

Careful with the discounts!!
Many dealers will offer lower prices, but give you higher interest rates on the loan. That's how eventually they will get their price!!
Beware and good luck!!

I bought my 2003 SE (no additional options) for $22,500 after 1K rebate.
My wife and I just bought a Sheer Silver 03 SE Titanium edition with a sticker price of $29,774 for $28,000 including tax and licensing. So, minus that, it came out to $25,100 for the car alone. Not bad, considering this thing also has the leather package, power sunroof, and splash guards. Sucks that the wife drives a better car than me
Its much tougher to get a decent deal in Los Angeles.
