First of all, I searched and still want some more info.

I wanted to get input from any of you guys that have had the budget y-pipe for a while. I am looking into getting one, but I want to know how they are holding up after extended periods of time (six months to a year or longer). Thanks guys!

 

the Budget Y-pipe for the 2001 Maxima has only been out since August/September 2002. i was the 2nd 2001 to have it installed and it has been great.

with the amount of salt on the roads here in Toronto during this winter season, the pipe has been fine.

the people here who have been running the 4th gen pipes (which have been out longer) have also had no issues with it.

I've used a Cattman y-pipe (the creator and originator of the y-pipe) on a 95 Max since 1999 and absolutely no problems despit heavy use, high mileage and salty roads here in Michigan. I can not say enough about the quality of Cattman's piece. I have a 2002 y-pipe from him on preorder for my upcoming 2002 SE.

 

Thanks for the info. I didn't know how long it had been out. Any other guys had any problems with theirs on the 5th gen?
