Tires/Rims/Wheels Experts

Ever heard of the brand Hankook? Also, how about www.victoriatire.com?
I have never heard of Hankook before, so i don't know the quality of the tires, or anything. How do they rate in wet conditions, maybe snow (even though i'm in N.C.). How about grip in good weather? I guess tires couldn't get any worst that the stock craptenzas.
I have never done business with victoriatire.com, so i don't know. When you try to call their number, 1-888-412-tire, you get a disconnected tone. Can't get anyone on the phone. I'd hate to give them my credit card number unless people know them.

Thank You for the information people!

Review on discounttiredirect.com (kinda long)

Well, looked around for a review on these. Thought i'd share.

------------
Pros
Good clean looks. Initially quiet. Low price.

Cons
Poor cornering. Lousy wet traction. Uneven wear. Noisy after a few thousand miles.

The Bottom Line
Tried to be a cheapskate and paid the price. Put your money in a Dunlop.

Full Review

The tread pattern looks pretty good. Large thread blocks initially makes for a quite ride. But...

It has poor cornering performance for a ZR tire, probably week sidewalls. Easily Hydroplanes- yes this actually happened to me. My car is a BMW 528i. Anyone will tell you how well these machines corner. I initially had 15" rims on Michelin MXV4's; yes big donuts! Even then it handled like few other cars on the road can. When I decided to upgrade to 18 each Rims, I didn't feel like forking out much more money on top of what I paid for the pricey RIMs. So I went with the cheapest I could find. I looked at the Hankook and they looked pretty attractive so I settled with that. The salesman shook his head in disapproval, and he was proven correct. The new Tires and Rims handle worse than the previous combination. I know its not the Rim or Car because I have a friend with same thing, but different tires. Aside from disappointing cornering performance, after extended use, uneven wear gave way to a noisy ride, even though alignment and balancing checked out just fine. The noise still persists. Also, the hankook label doesn't exactly speak quality. I'm going with the Dunlop 9000 after these wear out. I drove my friend's car with the same Rim and the Dunlops; they're great! Quiet; corners very well; I haven't tried them on the wet stuff, but I heard that this is where the Dunlops really shine!
