Alignment Question
Alignment Question
I've had my 2002 Max for a little over a year (27k miles) and have always noticed a distinct pull to the left when driving on the highway. The overall steering on the highway feels wrong...floats all over the place. I've had 4 alignments/balances over this first year of ownership ( from two different dealers and two different tire shops ) and the steering still feels wrong. Could someone please offer some suggestions on what this could be? At this point I'm wondering if the damn frame is bent...
Thanks in Advance,
D.J.

Is this on all highways or do you only notice it on a certain one?
On non-highway roads, does it feel OK?
I ask because so far you've described a crown issue, when the highway (especially a black topped one) has indentations, or tire ruts that are made worse by trucks.
When a highway is crowned, and a car has wide tires, it really reads it bad. The car will basically wander up and down each rut depending on where most of the weight is (if the road leans or is turning).
To really test I would find a concrete road if possible that doesn't lean and see how it performs.
