Warantee question

I planned on waiting until my warantee expired before I did any major modifications to my Max, but putting up with the floaty suspension(its even an SE)for the past year and a half I need better handling!

Has anyone with modified struts/springs had any problems? I still have a year and a half or 21k miles left on my warantee.

Also, who offers the best prices/services(in your experiences) in regards to struts, springs, and rsb? I plan on getting Tokicos w/H&R springs and a rsb all in one pop. Any advice is very much appreciated.

Please excuse the nitpicking:

Warrantee = A person to whom a warranty is made.
Warranty = A written guarantee on a product.

Not sure about struts and springs, but there is/was an Addco RSB group deal going on. May want to check the Group Deal forum to see if it's still available ($112, I believe, shipped is a very good price).

Well, when he said he's waiting until his warrantee expires, I was afraid that the person who owns his car is about to die.

I really don't think you have anything to worry about with replacing your suspension. If it was an engine mod, I would tell you to re consider if it makes you feel uncomfortable.

Thanks for the advice, Virus.

According to your sig, you have the exact set-up I want. How do you like it? Is there an improvement in handling that's worth the money? I'd definitely give up some comfort for handling.

RSB to start

then see how you like it before you decide if you need more. The RSB is a great mod.

Look at everyone post-wh0ring like there's no tomorrow.

Here's mine

Anyway... I'd definitely strongly advise you to get the RSB (rear sway bar) before doing anything to the suspension. It won't void your warranty, and makes a very noticable improvement on the understeering that the Maxima has from the dealer. I paid $119 shipped about 1 year ago and got the Addco, so $112 shipped isn't a bad price either.

Once you've done the RSB, then you can re-evaluate. I wouldn't do anything before doing that, though.

Oh, and for you post-wh0res and people who don't agree with my recommendation.... remember this:
It'S MY Recommendation == My Opinion == Not Necessiarly A Fact == No Post-Wh0ring Needed To Rebuttle == Have A Nice Day ==

Good looking out. Apparently the group deal through Southwest is no longer in affect. Their normal price is $119 +shipping

Yeah...I put an RSB and FSTB on because I didn't want any warranty issues coming up if I lowered the car. In my opinion, those do enough to keep me happy until the warranty expires and I can do some serious work on the car. Try that, and if you still want to lower it, knock yourself out. Just don't touch the engine though, otherwise they'll make up some BS excuse to void your warranty.

I absolutely love the suspension. I hated the floating which becomes dangerous at highway speeds on dipping highways. What I didn't want was a kidney busting car. After doing research and asking around, I felt the best setup for me was the Tokico's and the H&R's. Eibachs will give you a tad better handling as will the KYB's, but it's at the price of a harsher ride. My ride is stiff, but not too stiff and smooth. The RSB is a absolute must, especially at $112. That's without a doubt the best and least expensive mods.
