a couple of weeks ago when it was snowing my cars front wheels lost traction which cause me to bump a curb. This caused my front rim to get about a 4 inch long scratch on it. Is there anyway to repair this or do i have to buy a new rim?

Scratches can be repaired... probably will cost you around $100 as long as the rim isn't bent or anything.

How, I am a real minor hairline scratch? I have 17" stock wheels. You can't even notice unless your're less than a foot away, but you know how we all fuss over our babys!

For minor scratches that are not noticeable, probably the best thing would be to leave it alone. I don't know if it would be worth it to have the entire rim refinished.

I also have the stock 17's. The scratch is fairly noticable, since i hit a concrete curb. I think after winter i will have it repaired. How do i got about doing this? And what is a reasonable amount to be paid to fix the scratch? Thanks

There are places that will refinish your rims. As mentioned earlier, it will probably cost between $80 - $100. There are also places on the internet that do this. Try:

ye i scratched both my rims on the right side of the car a little while back. i also got the 17's... u can see it cause i bumped the curb on the highway going around 60ish... so it goes almost all the around... but u cant see it unless u are within 5 feet and u lookin right at it.. i might trade those in to aaarims or something for the chromed ones.. but i wanna see what the chromed ones will look like on a car first... did anyone see them yet?

Doesn't the 2001 AE Maxima have chromed 17" rims? That would give you a good idea of what they look like.
