Automatic window roll up and down.

My girlfriend's got a 2003 Max and her window switches for two front windows have automatic up all the way and down all the way. I have a 2000 Max and was wondering if the automatic mechanism is in the switch itself or in the motor. If it is in the switch does anyone know whether or not the complete board is the exact same fit. It is a great feature and want to add it to my car. Thanks for any help.

This will NOT work. I tried it, the connector on the '02 main switch is identical, when you plug it in, suddenly nothing works. The '02 passenger side switch is completly different- no way to mount it or plug it in.

If it makes you feel any better, the LEDs on the 2k switch are easier to change out for blue. On the 2k3 switch the voltage is too low for any LED I could find (1.9 - 2.0 volts).

Actually, the driver's side is the only auto and that is only for down.

I know this. I was trying to make it like the '03 with both auto roll up and down for both windows . Thanks Dave B for the answer. Just had to ask before I wasted my time trying to install it.

My 2000 SE has auto Up and Down on the driver's side, and for the roof. The rest are normal electric window controls. I thought that it would be nice for the other side as well. Thanks for letting me know it's a no go...

I have auto up-and down for both front windows. Thats from the inside, not the key-fob and key. The passenger side also has auto-up and down.

That's cuz you have an '03. The discussion was about a 2000 (and as it turns out the same issue pertains to the 2k1's).

has anyone tried swapping out for the switches in the 2000-2001 I30? those also had auto up/down for both driver and passenger.
