Need info on VB mod on trans. please help.

I brought my car back to the dealership for the TSB regarding slipping from 2nd to 3rd. I told the guy about the TSB problem and he called me back and said I was correct that the next step is to take the trans. pan down and check the solenoid or relay. My question about the VB mod is "Do you think I can convince them to change out my VB while thet are right there working in the same area?" I was thinking about the mod but wouldn't dare try it myself. I want the trans. to run as smooth as possible since i'm having the work done. I'm going to talk to them tomorrow and need some convincing argument to persuade them to do it. Thanks for any info.

The link for the tsb is: www.punkdork.net/max/tsb039a.pdf
The link for the VB mod is: www.smg.sphosting.com/donsvbmod.htm
Search around the last link and it says the VB mod is supposed to make your automatic transmission shift much faster than before. Not sure though whether or not the VB is changed to a new one or modified in some way. Anyone know?
